Can There Be Too Many Stories?

If God is active in your life, can there be too many stories to tell? I was chatting with a friend this morning and asked the question, "Do you have a story to tell about seeing God at work yesterday?" I supposed that we all should see God at work frequently. Should we see him annually? Semi-annually? Monthly? Weekly? Daily? By the minute? How much is too much God?

I think it may be an issue of balance. There obviously can not be too much God. But, maybe the stories we tell need to be balanced against instruction in God's Word. After all, how will we know it is God unless we know His Word? On the flip side, if all you know is God's Word and have no story to tell, what value was it too you?

"I'm speechless, in awe—words fail me. I should never have opened my mouth! I've talked too much, way too much. I'm ready to shut up and listen." Job 40:3
