Finding God's Way

I've got a great friend that I neglected contact with for the past few years. You know who good friends are when time and distance doesn't impact the confidence in your relationship. He found me yesterday and allows me to share in part....

"Brother - today i find myself at a desperate place...on the edge of stepping into destiny, but facing one of the darkest hours of my life....the realization that at my core, I'm unable to manage money...unable to steward, and I'm a liar....owing debt far beyond what I'm able.....making promises I cannot keep.....this keeps me from doing everything God wants from me....I MUST overcome…..

But...I received the call (anonymous) like you speak of in your blog (which by the way was God's answer to my prayer tonight...no where to turn, I searched for you online and found the glorious story you tell in your blog) Archie, it was the Lord leading me to hear your story - God in your story....I have hope”.

Isn't God good. Always there to help at a time of need. Gracious to prepare us for the work He has planned. He desires obedience from us and we can expect miracles in our life from him. Hang on friend, God is working something special in your life. Be faithful and true to Him.

"We are intimately linked in this harvest work. ... Accepting someone's help is as good as giving someone help. This is a large work I've called you into, but don't be overwhelmed by it. It's best to start small. Give a cool cup of water to someone who is thirsty,...." Matthew 10:40-42:

Hey, Arch!
2 Corinthians 1:3-5
"All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort - we get a full measure of that, too."

The ultimate joy comes when God uses our stories to help others. Always amazing. Takes our regreats off the table.

Thanks Dave and thanks to my old friend that took the time to look me up. Imagine how many will be encouraged when they read about God meeting other people at their exact point of need.

My friend emails: "I received an unexpected gift this evening.... The gift is enough to cover my shortfall this month. I'm learning more and more....want to get together with you if at all possible sometime soon."
