HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
I'm told in web etiquette that you never capitalize everything, because it is like you are being YELLED at. Well, guess what? I AM YELLING at you. I am wishing you a Happy Valentine's day and hoping you will get it. I am hoping you get it that the day is all about love. It is a day that you will demonstrate your love to that someone special.
It seems in today's world many do not even know what love is. A famous movie line says, "Love is never having to say you are sorry." What a crock! Love is all about saying you are sorry. Even more than that, it is about saying you were WRONG and asking forgiveness.
In life group this week, we talked about love. We considered where the source of love comes from. SURPRISE! Love comes from God. Without God there is no love. One has to know God in order to love. That is the total and complete problem with the world and collapsing marriages. The world and the peoples of this world do not know God. Any attempt at a display of love without God is a lie. It can't be done.
For those of you that know "the way", it is your God given responsibility to share the love God has entrusted you with. You are to share it everyday, with everyone. But, Valentine's day is a special day. It is a day that man has designated as special to make a significant demonstration of your love to another. Love is an action word. It is not a feeling.
Do a bunch of something specials for your mate today on Valentine's Day. Enjoy the moment and make it all about the other person. Share God's love. Invest it in another.
