Girl friend, paper airplanes and Billy Graham

My bride and I grew up during our high school years living just 3 houses apart. We became boyfriend and girl friend when we were 14 years old. I was a Christian and Cora was a Methodist. My mother thought we were getting too serious in our relationship. Cora and I were restricted from dating. We were allowed to go to church together, but that was it. Then, Billy Graham came to town and we could see each other by going to the revival together. We sat at the very top of the stadium and enjoyed being together during the revival. We had so much fun, we actually made paper airplanes from the printed programs and launched a couple. There was no obvious desire on either of our parts for a closer relationship with Christ.

Then, amazingly Cora said she wanted to go down at the altar call. God is truly a God of miracles. God took a couple of kids and touched our hearts. Cora found a personal relationship with God and I found a need to take my relationship with God seriously. Isn't God good?!
