Time To Get Away

I was going through a tough business struggle and needed to get away to regain balance in my life. I decided to go back to my roots of fishing at the coast. I have memories of wonderful times with my dad fishing at Port Aransas on the Texas coast. So, I headed south to go fishing one night. I parked along the sea wall at Galveston, safely next to the fishing pier. Somewhere around 1:00 AM, I went to the truck and curled up in the front seat leaning my head against the door window glass. Shortly after I drifted off to sleep, a truck whizzed by me so close it knocked my mirror off the side of the door. This is the same door where my head was resting. It sounded like a gun shot or cannon. I thought to myself, how gracious God is in protecting us even when we don't ask. Cora shared with me that in the early morning, she was awaken and urged to pray for me. Isn't God gracious?
