Stranded and Freezing
Cora, Jeff and I lived in Oklahoma for a few years. The winter snows are beautiful and cold. During one particularly cold ice storm, I began my slip and slide drive to work in an old car (only to have my car stall). I did not have heavy winter clothes and was not dressed appropriate for the degree of cold being experienced. I simply had a lightweight sweater on. I stepped out of my car with hopes of waving a motorist down for help. Quickly, a female motorist pulled over and offered to give me a ride. She immediately said, 'I have no idea why I stopped to help. I don't do this sort of thing, but you looked so cold." I assured her that God is good!
